"Protect our Marine World" In 2007, we were invited to participate in an event organized by the municipal government to encourage the children of the region to protect the ocean through a contest with several categories, which included: short stories, poetry, posters, drawings, and presentations. Aventuras Mayas was invited as a member of the jury to decide on best works out of the 100 finalists and to give the first prize to the winners of each category. The 6 girls awarded with this prize took our Mayan Adventure excursion in which they visited 3 ecosystems related with marine life. Total participants: 100 children.
