INTEGRAL WASTE-MANAGEMENT
PROGRAM Aventuras Mayas promotes environmental conservation by recycling plastic and paper. Furthermore, we continuously generate an organic compost, which we use as a natural fertilizer, fostering reforestation and ecological health in the areas we visit. We have reduced by more than 50% the waste generated in our excursions, and we are committed to use natural resources in the most efficient way. Our Integral Waste-Management Program also gives us the opportunity to share our recycling and composts experience with the local community through environmental awareness courses, which we also promote. Hence, local children learn how sustainable tourism contributes to the region's long term development.
